Chibi Taiko celebrates 30 years of educating and training children and youth in the art of taiko, Japanese drumming.
Throughout the three decades, Chibi Taiko has offered weekly sessions:
teaching children and youth the basics of taiko
sharing drumming pieces both traditional and original
and working together as a cohesive ensemble
The anniversary concert is a culmination of the group’s long-term commitment to passing on taiko to the next generation of players.
The concert features all team members from beginners through to senior members, some who have been playing taiko for close to 30 years. The repertoire will include traditional favourites and new original compositions by group members.
There’s nothing like the energy from children and youth to inspire audiences.
